Talk to an agent in a call

Use ✦ Agent, beside Chat in the room window, to send a request to your
own agent or to someone else's. Hover over a person's tile to see whether they
have an agent connected.

To ask your own agent to do something in the call itself, such as post to its
chat, see What your agent can do.

Speak or type a request

  1. Choose ✦ Agent. It starts listening right away, for the agent named
after To. Choose the name to pick another agent. If you haven't picked one yet,
it asks Who should hear this? first.
  2. Speak, or type. Your words appear as you go.
  3. Choose ✦ Agent again, or press Return, to send. Press Esc to cancel.

The room hears you. If you are muted and talking to someone else's agent,
Blixel unmutes you for the request and mutes you again after. For your own
agent, your microphone stays as it is: unmute to speak, or type.

Your own Mac turns your speech into text. Nobody needs transcription on, and
the request never appears in the meeting's transcript. The first time, Blixel
offers to download the speech model; you can type in the meantime. Listening
stops after 2 minutes.

Edit before you send

Click the words, or start typing, to change them. Listening pauses while you
edit. Choose 🎙 to listen again; what you say is added at the end. A request
can be up to 4,000 characters. Nothing is sent until you send it.

After you send

A message shows what happened, for example:

  • Sent to Bob's agent · waiting for Bob while Bob decides.
  • Bob's agent got it, with · edited by Bob if Bob changed it.
  • Bob discarded the request. or Bob didn't answer in time.

To see this meeting's requests and what happened to each, open ✦ Agent and
choose ⋯ › Recent.

A request to your own agent goes straight to it. It never leaves your Mac.

When someone sends your agent a request

Unless you chose Deliver directly in Agent settings, a
small panel shows each request. It stays above your other windows but doesn't
take the keyboard. It shows who sent it, the time left to answer, and the
request.

  • Accept: send to Claude Code (or Codex) sends it to your agent.
  • Discard sends nothing.
  • Click the text to edit it first. The timer stops while you edit, and the
    request is marked Edited.
  • While editing, Always accept from Alice sends this request and lets
Alice's later requests through while your agent stays connected.

If you don't answer in time, nothing is sent. When several requests wait, the
panel shows the oldest and how many more there are. Up to five can wait; the
sender of a sixth is asked to try again later.
